road blockS

what really happened...

Time: 130 am to 2 am.. Venue: Along west coast road and the road towards JE from teban gardens..

Heres the conversation at the first road block:

Police: Where were you from?

MJFL: West coast mac.

POlice: Where are you going?

MJFL: Home after studying..

Then we were told to park our car at the side. I thought they will just search the car and thats it... NOPE!

Police: Take out your ICs(both) and driving liscence(for darling)

MJFL: OH!

For a moment, I was awaken form my dreamy night... ICs... Never have I been asked for IC by a policeman! Though I didn't do anything wrong, i felt scared...

Following that, he called back to some HQs and have our ICs checked.

Police: Is this your car?

darling: my dad's one, we can't afford one you see, we are students.

POlice: Oh.. this car is rather affordable actually.

MJ's thought: "HUH? hmm... huh? what a comment.. is that a friendly policeman trying to strike some conversation with some commoners? Or he just thinks that we, undergrads are rich? A car leh! How to afford one when you are still trying to survive and giving tuitions to make your living..."

So after some checking of the car and recording+checking of ICs, we were finally released...Though i felt a tinge of relief that our policemen is doing their job, but i thought that they were wasting their time on us. The whole process took about 10 to 15 minutes...maybe there were more thieves to be caught somewhere else.. IF you had watched "The chaser", you can't help but ponder about the efficieny of policemen...

At the same time, I think the other van beside us were driven by indian foreign workers.. I was thinking why only both our vehicles were stopped...

After putting in some thoughts, maybe our reason of studying at Mac is just too LAME to be true??? Come on! We are youngsters! I bet if we said we just went home from clubbing, maybe he will just test darling's breath and thats it....... haha.. so i learnt that the reason you give should follow the stereotype of typical youngsters...

Guess what? along that short route home, we encountered ANOTHER road block... haha.. its quite funny, given that the policemen asked the same starting questions. I think they are trained this way... But this time round, we being more experienced, immediately flashed our ICs and confessed about our previous road block. Within seconds, he let us passed..... hmm... we were so "lucky"! a pity we didn't buy lottery... aiya!

While other days we were already asleep by 2am, this very day, we were checked by some policemen. Thankfully, its a pleasant experience. =)

Of course, one that we hope we only encounter once.

Thinking of the next Sentosa trip...

I LOVE this photo! The light, the wind and the wet hair makes me look a Hot BABE! (not pig if you are thinking of one!) maybe I would be even hotter if .......... I could....... minus off my partner... you know being SINGLE just makes you hotter... hahaha.....*winks*

Just went to sentosa with his friends... or maybe orientation groupmates... Though I felt very old there..Most of them (both girls and guys) are below 21 with majority of the girls being only about 18 or 19... OMG! I wished I was still that young... Nevertheless, I still enjoyed myself. They were sporty and we played lots of games.... finally my beach volleyball skills came into play...
I can't help but admit that I am oo..ol....OLD! so old... After the games, I came home feeling so tired. I think being fit is a history now. Kind of wished Sentosa outing is a weekly thing, then I can rewrite history...

In the past, i have been wondering whats life like to be over 20s...
I guess now, I have an answer to my life before 23,

It is a life

MORE of being
1. studious
2. Family oriented
3. richer
4. Tai Tai (Manicure, pedicure, high tea, resturants. hotels)
5. conscious of hair, age, figure, skin and etc...
6. Street smart (I know my darling would disagree!, but I was worse last time...)
7. less Dreamy
8. Realistic
9. Selfish
10. and definitely BORINg...

LESS of being
1. healthy
2. Sporty
3. Gullible
4. Sacrificial... when I was a kid, Iwould die to save a cat. But I wouldn't now.
hmm...

The "muging" Mmilky...

Don't be fooled by her innocent look, she jumped onto my table and insisted on covering my notes! I had to shove her aside just to make space (BARELY ENOUGH) to do work...
But I still love her... =)

LIFE GOES ON...

Looking at all the photos, you must have thought that I was very happy?
I guess you would never even have expected that I just FAILED my 2ND driving test that morning...
I was really disheartened this time round coz i dun deserve to fail... I truely believe that luck plays a major factor in driving test..... I am cursed... Though I hope I am not for the rest of my driving..

To all who are gg to take driving test soon, better pray that your tester is good. I am going to sincerely pray very very hard for the third test le!

I find this quote (it woke me up from my self-obsessed depression) very encouraging,
" Being angry is allowing perople like him (stupid tester!) to ruin your day." Freddy Liew

This sentence really makes so much sense after i REPEATed the statement in my head! Why should I let him ruin my day?
So to all those unhappy or angry souls out there, dun let these people get to your nerves! stay happy.. =) you will only worry your loved ones when u are down...

Darling, thanks for being so super nice that day! (so unlike you.. haha) You were exceptionally accomodating (only after minusing my failed K box trip), in fact slightly more to the compromising side ...I love u for being this sweet. *Geez*
